System and Sales Engineer (Entry Level), Ottawa, Canada

Job Description

Work as a customer facing technical sales engineer to support customers as they integrate Superna software in their environment. You will be involved in pre-sales and post sales activities including responding to customer requests for information, product installation, and best practices to configure based on customer requirements.  This role will require an individual who works well with customers, can document and translate customer problem statements into either feature descriptions, install steps or implementation document or slides that assists a customer understand the value of the solution to their current IT processes.

You are able to communicate the value and benefits of software solution from a technical and IT operations/business value perspective.  The software solution for this role is focused on replication of Network Attached Storage (NAS) based clusters over distance between data centers or within data centers.

Skills & Experience

Required Skills:

  • Prepare proposal and bid responses to customer RFI/RFP’s
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to produce technical marketing collateral
  • NAS system or cluster knowledge with SMB, NFS provisioning and exporting of storage
  • Networking for clustered storage with layer 2 ethernet and layer 3 required to implement or advise on NAS filesystems
  • VMware, Windows, Linux hands on knowledge
  • Self motivated and comfortable working independently or remotely
  • Ability to work with customers to define technical requirements
  • Ability to travel with geographic area of US or into major Canadian cities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Desirable Skills:

  • NAS specific hands on  knowledge
  • Disaster recovery domain knowledge related to file or block storage systems
  • Knowledge of storage systems

Sales Engineer, Marlborough, MA USA

Peripheral knowledge to NAS systems or experience with file based storage and storage networking is required for this position.  Travel will be required for the role.

Software Developer, Ottawa Canada

Work as part of a highly-skilled, dynamic software development team creating distributed, high-performance applications for provisioning and monitoring network transport, switching and storage devices. The ideal candidate for the position possesses significant experience developing robust, mission-critical applications, and has experience with network programming using various technologies and protocols, with an eye towards the new. Also desirable is experience with real-time embedded systems, optics or optical devices, as well as VMWare and other virtualization technologies.

VMware Web Services Developer, Ottawa, Canada.

Work as part of a highly-skilled, dynamic software development team creating cloud-enabled web and mobile applications for Converged Infrastructure and Software as a Service solutions.  The ideal candidate for the position possesses significant experience in web development and back-end programming using various current technologies and languages, with an eye towards the new.  Also desirable is experience with IaaS and SaaS offerings, with a significant focus on VMware.
